During the wait time, he was taking calls and saying Kill him, Leave him which makes us think who he is. He was interrogated on the case of spending twenty eight crore worth of government funds in the last eleven years.

As a part of the interrogation, he was telling about the 2001 parliament attack by five terrorists under the supervision of sixth terrorist Ikhlaq khan who was escaped later. For the process of catching him, he has placed five asserts in five countries where Ikhlaq Khan has business and the funds were utilized for their needs and he refused to reveal their identities. The story is how Ikhlaq was being found and captured is the plot.

Story was happening in 2019, Himmat is narrating the story of his part in the nineteen years of the national significant events and espionage missions were undertaken by India with thrilling events and action-packed. The reveal of the perpetrator was unexpected and great.

From Episode 1 to Episode 8, as a spectator we will not get bored, the entire screenplay has engrossed our attention towards the screen. It is an entertainment pack consists of action-packed scenes, thrilling elements, humor, nail-biting moments, and family drama. I and my wife started yesterday night and finished five episodes in a single sitting, that much interesting and intriguing.

The screenplay of the final seventh and eighth episode was top-notch, it has embraced the thrilling moments and was spellbinding. The characters are appropriate and do their part splendid. The background score has patronized the screenplay to give more addictive topped. The cinematography has absorbed all our attention in showing various countries and color-coding on the environment, dresses, etc..

The writer Neeraj Pandey who is known for “A Wednesday”, “MS Dhoni”, “Special 26” movies have given a wonderful action-packed thriller. The portrayal of Himmat Singh - Kay Kay Menon has stood like a forte in his acting. His sneer expressions and humor were awesome, actually made his screen presence wonderful.

On a credit note, as respect towards all the officials who are working hard for Indians as Indians out there on the border or out from our house, a Big salute…

Overall, One hell of roller coaster ride for India by Indians.

A single widow mother along with her dumb daughter relocating to Chennai from Bangalore to start a fresh life after their personal strategy. What happens when her daughter gone missing.?

A single widow mother portrayed by Poorna with her dumb daughter Aishu portrayed by baby Aaradhya relocating to Chennai from Bangalore, they rent out a flat in the ninths floor, Priya is suspecting something about the sixth floor since whenever the lift is crossing the sixth floor the lights are flickering and lift malfunctions. Santhosh portrayed by Amzath is a delivery boy who has a backstory, Two years before, he made an accident and a kid got hurt, he deliberately leaves the scene which made him feel guilt till present. He met Priya when she misses her purse in the road, he returns to her. Priya’s daughter Aishu got missed when Priya and Santhosh was talking. Priya got panicked and starts to search for her along with Santhosh is Kannamoochi.

Episodes are made intriguingly with the background score and Poorna’s acting but failed due to fabby writing, it is making us get boredom easily like the supernatural elements of the sixth floor. The writer deliberately added it seems to add some spice to the plot. Child abuse (Pedophile) is the epicenter of the series which was not taken in a proper way. Few scenes of the perpetrator in his early days were grimace and lecherous. There is a bizarre sidebar about child porn, the scene presses more on a government-issued laptop than child porn itself. Also, the scene of freezing children's bodies are frown made diabolical.

Cinematography has shown the city so beautifully, the lighting and color codes of places are really nice which was eye catchy engrossing our attention to the detailing, but too much in the killer's den which felt horrible.

Overall, Kannamoochi missed being thrilling and horrifying.

My VR Critique Rating: 4.8/10
Story: 3/10
Screenplay: 3/10
Cinematography: 6/10
Casting: 5/10
Background Score: 7/10

Likes and Dislikes
  • Poorna's acting was realistic, her powerful eyes itself shows so many expressions.
  • Cinematography is well and good in few places.
  • The background score has taken up ahead from the start till the end.
  • The plot is soggy which destroyed all the above.
  • It should be a short film.
  • The opening scene was just a timepass, Why director added that.? - Major miss to the screenplay.
  • Timeline collapses - Like 14 Years before, 5 Years before.
  • The casting - Kid will be of at least 8-10 years old, but she was 5 according to the movie was averse.
  • A police investigation was very slow, Inspector role portrayal by Sri Sharan was not suited to him, he better should have taken that delivery boy or husband role.
  • The backstory of the perpetrator in the last was dawdling the screenplay.
  • Priya's husband's death bed promises actually frazzled which watch.

Who should watch: If you have plenty of time doing loitering can watch, it will pass some time.

  • Total Seasons: 1
  • Total Episodes:10
  • Runtime : 30mins per Episode

The story is based on horrifying true incidents that happened between 1985 - 1995 in Chennai.

Auto Shankar, A tamil web series is part fiction inspired by legends about the man and part based on facts collected from the investigation which led to his capture. The series is divided into 10 episodes which are each around 30 minutes long and carry titles which trace the trajectory of Shankar’s rise and fall.

The entire series is intriguing, The first few episodes take some time getting used to - the background score is often jarring and the colourful language looks forced into the dialogues just to give a touch of “authenticity”. Not that the profanity itself should draw criticism, but not all the actors look equally comfortable rattling off cuss words. The ‘80s time period has been recreated with appropriate hairstyles and clothes, advertisements, film posters and newspaper clippings from the time which tell us about what’s happening in the state as well as Shankar’s case. The series appears to have been made on a tight budget, depending largely on these signposts and filters to create the illusion of shifting time periods.

Auto Shankar could have truly been a mature series. As it stands, it’s a good addition to adult Tamil web series content but falls short of hitting the mark.
