TIME ENNA BOSS is Kavithalaya productions new series partnered with Amazon prime video. The Series was released on 18th September 2020 at midnight. It is a sitcom comedy. It is a ten-episode series with 22-25mins of runtime. Bharath, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Robo Shankar, Karunakaran, Sanjana Sarathy, Alexandar Babu is the lead role in the series.
STORY of TIME ENNA BOSS
An average IT professional Bala (Bharath) who recently shifted to a new home in Chennai encounters four different people from a different timeline who are flushed out from his new home washroom. A doctorate Bharathi (Priya Bhavani Shankar) from 1976, Buggy (Karunakaran) from 2075, Hannah Clarke (Sanjana Sarathy) from 1895AD and Killivalan (Robo Shankar) from 1000AD.
The story narrates the day today life with the situation comedies around the characters.
REVIEW of TIME ENNA BOSS
TIME ENNA BOSS starts with the director Parthiban’s narrative as TIME. Consider the time as a human being, it sees us, monitor us, what will happen if time changes time in one’s life. Ha.ha.. funny Is it. So, time is creating a show in an IT professional’s life to make him realize what is time and how it is more important. Being a sitcom, it does not have any a continuous story, four people came from the washroom closet on a swish from different timeline trying to get adapted to the current timeline. Every episode shows different situations with humor.
For starters, most of the comedy dialogs are used to us but entertaining. Alexander Babu as the security of the apartments, his performance was very subtle and the characterizations are not matched with the main flow. He should be used well. I like his dialog “I AM A WATCHMAN AND I WATCH EVERYTHING”, he repeats it very frequently which imitates Surya’s dialog of “I AM A WATCH MECHANIC” from movie 24. Apart from him, Robo Shankar has done a killer performance as Killivalavan from 1000AD, his timing comedy and nicknames for the rest somehow managed to hold the story till the end. Also, Karunakaran as Buggy from 2075, few of his scenes as an emotionless human was great. Karunakaran and Robo Shankar was the pillar of this comedy blast. Bharath’s performance was good. Priya Bhavani Shankar's performance was realistic, especially when she gets stunned on the word “BRILLIANT” and resumes with the dialog when the unlocking word was used. Sanjana as the British lady Hannah Clarke is okaying. The bits of Motta Rajendran was laughter, particularly his voice for an English song. An episode of Ashok Selvan is still not able to understand why.? But he has done his part well.
The entire series was taken in a closed surrounding, the CG was really bad in some instances. The laughter behind the scenes are horrible, it is like desperately laughing for a bewailing scene. Kavithalaya has recreated a new series to the new world. I am a great fan of Kavithalaya’s Tamil series particularly the Marma Desam, Ramani vs Ramani series. Time enna boss is going to be the one even it has bumps
Overall, the entire series is not more than 3.5 to 4hrs. being a fan of thriller and mystery, I liked this series. Do stream it, hope you will like it.
