Horror movie required ominous elements which have to give goosebumps in every instance, Ghoul has proved it and it was one hell of a journey into a world of mythology. In the mythological world, A Ghoul has many names like demon, monster, ghost. Netflix Ghoul is of 135mins movie converted into a three-part episode; each episode will add some fuel to the next episode. The series is dubbed in Tamil, Telugu as well.

In a near future, After the civil war, the entire country is in the process of correcting its own people from supporting terrorists, if in case of founding one, those will be sent to the National interrogation center for correction. A young cadet Nida Rahim (Radhika Apte) who was promoted early and appointed to work in a remote detention center under Colonel Sunil (Manav Kaul), She is getting haunted by her past where she made her father caught to the government as he was doing activities against them. Later she came to know that her father was also interrogated here and the truth behind his disappearance. The detention center has four prisoners and they are being interrogated by ten officers.

The team at detention center

When a new-fangled and most wanted criminal Ali Saleed is caught and he is being brought to the detention center for interrogation, the entire team is making things ready for taking him into their custody. From his arrival, the entire team is getting haunted memories, nightmares, etc. When he was being interrogated by Nida Rahim along with his two fellow officers, Ali infused them to make them fight by showing their guilt, and the Colonel Sunil felt the same when he was interrogating him. Nida came to know that Ali was possessed by a Ghoul. The table was flicked upside down from there onwards, Ghoul started to haunt the others. What happens next? Why Ghoul came to the detention center and who made it to come is the remaining flick.

The screenplay was very instance, ominous, and very much intriguing. The cinematography has given light to the darkish place. The entire detention place was purposefully made dark as the prisoners should not be aware of the outside world. The dialog was plausible as I saw the movie in Tamil dubbed. The language slang of lady police was appalling, felt happy when Nida revenges her in the climax. The editing of the back and forth of the scenes, the ghoul instances was appreciable. The acting of Radhika Apte as Nida was elusive since the movie was on a swish, there is no place to show the whole by Apte, that’s what I feel. The rest of the characters' acting was okays. The character of Faulad Singh, the writer has created deliberately to give an add-on runtime to the screenplay. The makeup was simple but scary. I admired the background score, especially a long pause between the scary instances.

Overall, A crisp horrifical movie. I can vouch to all scary lovers if you watch the movie in the night with a proper sound and big screen, Ghoul will show your guilt and punish with scary.
