In many forums, the plot of the movie was said that a Young talented man traveling all over India and learns about our national politics and what he does next was the plot. But the main plot revolves around the life of a young man Gypsy and the outburst of religious politics. The movies of Raju Murugan have an interesting plot with engaging and intense screenplay like Joker, Cuckoo. Gypsy falls into the directorial cut but missed to be engaging because of a dull and slow screenplay.

Unity in religion.

A couple died in Indo-Pak war blast, their baby was raised by a nomad and named him as Gypsy (Jiiva). He along with his adopted father and a horse called “Sei” traveling all over India. Gypsy has a very special voice singing with his close buddies from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and called Street Singer. He doesn’t have a permanent place to live. When he came to Nagoor and made a camp near a mosque, Waheeda (Natasha Singh) an orthodox Muslim girl falls in love with him. They elope and get married. As Waheeda gets pregnant, Gypsy has no other option but to stay in Varanasi till the baby comes out.

During that time, a communal riot breaks out in Varanashi and many were dead and injured, the news has gone viral globally.  At one point, Waheeda is subjected to feel the pressure by Hindus, got terrified, and stranded as Gypsy went to Jail in the riot. The couples got separated. When he came out of jail, he got immersed in the progress of finding her wife and his kid. What happens next is the flick. The writer has traveled to various places and given a wonderful place to our eyes in an impressive way.

The music was a strong basement for the movie, the independent musician Susheela Raman along with Santhosh Narayanan, we can feel the Santhosh’s touch and the hardcore feel from Susheela Raman. The combo worked in a picture-perfect way. Jiiva's acting was spectacular. The character of Waheeda (Natasha Singh) was good and appropriate. The father role of Waheeda played by Lal Jose, A reputed director of Mollywood. His contribution to the screen is well and appreciated.

The main thing which I personally felt imbalanced is the scenes of the riot which was super contrast, missed being intriguing. Since the director has planned to take the movie up ahead with the riots from the romantic genre, He should have prearranged properly for the scenes of riot and the movie runtime. The length of the movie is also one of the main causes of dull and slow. Till pre-intermission, the movie was going in an organized way which got impeded in the post-intermission where the hunt of a person who created the riot was too lengthy and boring.

Overall, the movie is good but dull and slow, Jiiva’s acting as Gypsy has seized its base from fall.
